King University to host KingFest 2026 on Oct. 3
Daylong Bristol event will feature the Twister Trot 5K, family activities, food, athletics and community worship led by Discovery Church Worship
BRISTOL, Tenn. — King University will host KingFest 2026 on Saturday, Oct. 3, bringing together students, alumni, families and community members for a full day of activities centered around three signature events: the Twister Trot 5K, KingFest family activities, and an afternoon community worship service featuring music from Discovery Church Worship.
Admission is free, and registration is encouraged.
KingFest is the university's annual fall festival on its main campus in Bristol. The event combines athletic competition, family-friendly entertainment, food, and worship in a celebration designed for all ages.
Twister Trot 5K: 8 a.m.
The day begins with the annual Twister Trot 5K, which starts outside the Student Center.
- $10 per person
- Check-in begins at 7 a.m.
- Mini Twister Trot begins at 8:15 a.m.
Following the race, KingFest activities will fill the campus throughout the morning and early afternoon, featuring attractions and entertainment for the entire family, including:
- Vendor fair
- Inflatable play structures
- Pumpkin patch and pumpkin painting
- Axe throwing
- Yard games and obstacle course
- Barbecue lunch at noon
- Food Truck Alley
King University athletic teams will host several competitions throughout the day:
- Noon — Volleyball at the Student Center Complex
- 1 and 3 p.m. — Soccer at the soccer field
- 2 p.m. — Women's Alumni Basketball Game, with "Pack the Place" following volleyball
The day will conclude with a community worship service at 3 p.m. outside the Student Center, bringing festival attendees together for an afternoon of worship and fellowship.
Discovery Church Worship will lead music for the service, providing a powerful conclusion to the day's celebration.
