\nBristol will celebrate 250 years of American freedom with a grand July 4 extravaganza that begins with a community parade down State Street and culminates with a spectacular fireworks display under the night sky of Anderson Park.
\nBristol will celebrate 250 years of American freedom with a grand July 4 extravaganza that begins with a community parade down State Street and culminates with a spectacular fireworks display under the night sky of Anderson Park.
Patriotic floats\, military groups\, marching bands\, and more will kickstart the celebration at 5 p.m. during the annual Star-Spangled July 4th Parade sponsored by Believe in Bristol. \; Spectators are invited to line both sides of State Street to watch as the parade makes it annual trek through downtown\, beginning at Region&rsquo\;s Bank and continuing to Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.
\n\nImmediately following the parade\, the City of Bristol Tennessee will host its annual Stars &\; Stripes Celebration at Anderson Park. Festivities includes live performances by LIGHTNIN&rsquo\; STRIKES!\, featuring frontman Lightnin&rsquo\; Charlie for an electric tribute to the sounds of the 50s\, 60s\, and 70s. Live music will continue later in the evening with a high-energy performance by The Celebrity All-Star Band\, a touring party band comprised of musicians from well-known pop\, rock\, and R&\;B groups known for delivering songs that get the crowd dancing.
\n\nChildren&rsquo\;s games and food trucks will be available throughout the evening and a beer garden\, provided by Believe in Bristol\, will be located nearby. A limited number of commemorative t-shirts will be given away to those in attendance\, and a specially designed Bristol Tennessee challenge coin will be presented to veterans to thank them for their military service.
\n\nThe grand finale will begin about 10 p.m. when Pyro Shows Inc. launches a choreographed fireworks display. Those gathered in the park will have a front-row seat for the show.
